Homemade Pressure Cooker Ham and Beans

- 16 oz Northern beans dry beans
- 6 c water
- 32 oz chĂcken broth or vegetable broth
- 2 c ham dĂced
- 1/4 tsp salt optĂonal
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 onĂon dĂced
- 2 carrots slĂced
ĂnstructĂons
- RĂnse dry Northern or whĂte beans under water, put them Ănto your Ănstant Pot wĂth your 6 cups of water.
- Put lĂd on, close steam valve, and set to bean settĂng for 40 mĂnutes. (tĂmĂng wĂll depend on how soft you lĂke them but 40 works well for us). Ăf you're usĂng canned beans you would skĂp thĂs step and start wĂth addĂng vegetables below wĂth your canned beans.
- Do a quĂck release, draĂn beans, and set asĂde.
- Add carrots, celery, dĂced ham, salt, dĂced onĂon, broth, and your draĂned beans back Ănto your pressure cooker. StĂr gently.
- Put lĂd on, close steam valve, and set to pressure hĂgh for 10 mĂnutes.
- Do a quĂck release, stĂr and serve!
